Your first OPS job
From signing in to getting paid — what an engineer does, step by step. Use ← → or the buttons.
Sign in and join a company
- Open OPS Work on your phone, create an account and apply to a company. A manager approves you and gives you a role.

Get trained
- OPS Work → Training (or here in the Classroom): read the lesson, pass the health & safety module, pass the exam, and — if your server uses them — do the practical at the OPS Academy. Installation jobs need the certificate.
2 / 7
Pick a job
- Your company’s job board lists open work with the real address, the customer, the wage and the SLA deadline. Accept one — the GPS is set for you.
3 / 7
Guide me
- On the job page tap "Guide me" (or type /jobhelp): your next step, the tools you need and where to get them, the safety controls and what goes wrong if you skip steps.
4 / 7
Risk assessment
- Before work, tick the controls you really have in place — PPE, cones, isolation, ladder or harness. Skipping them on risky work can hurt you.
5 / 7
Do the real work
- Fit the kit from /towers, run and crimp the cable, configure on OPS Hub — whatever the job needs. Only work done after you accepted counts. The Work check on the job page shows your progress live.
6 / 7
Complete and get paid
- When the check passes, tap Complete. The customer pays (or warranty/contract covers it), the company is credited, you’re paid your wage and an invoice is issued. Finishing late counts as an SLA breach.
