Overview
What it does
OPS Mobile is the mobile network. Its masts and Wi-Fi decide whether a phone has signal; its plans give players texts, minutes and data.
On OPS Hub
OPS Hub → Tower map, and OPS Mobile lines, plans and messages.
On the phone
The OPS Mobile app shows the plan, data left and top-ups.
What players physically do
Everything below happens in the world, with your character, where other players can see it.
- Place masts and Wi-Fi access points
- Walk a site and survey the signal
- Keep masts powered so they stay on air
How the system works
How OPS Mobile's part of the world fits together — and what breaks when it doesn't.
OPS Mobile network
What it does
Every phone call, text and bit of mobile data goes through OPS Mobile's masts. Each tower covers a radius; phones show bars based on the strongest tower in range. With Enforce on, no signal means no calls, texts or data.
Masts and small cells
Lattice masts and 5G masts are placed from /towers. They need power — a socket, a solar/battery set-up or the grid. A mast that loses power drops out and leaves a dead spot.
Plans
Players need an OPS Mobile plan (a free starter is given). Texts, minutes and data come from the plan; Wi-Fi from a router with internet doesn't use the plan.
What goes wrong
A mast on a feeder that loses power takes coverage with it. Gunshot sensors and trackers report over OPS Mobile too, so they stop reporting in dead spots.
Where to look
OPS Hub → Tower map shows every mast and its coverage; OPS Hub → Lines shows customers.
Every job
Every job OPS Mobile does. Open one to see who it's for, what the customer pays, what the engineer earns, the certificate needed, the parts used and exactly how the server checks the work was really done. A job is only paid when its check passes.
Mobile coverage survey
Survey mobile signal where customers report problems, to plan new masts and small cells.
Mobile coverage survey
No chargeengineer earns $180
Survey OPS Mobile signal around the site.
Who it's for
Money
Customer pays nothing (fault, emergency or covered work); the engineer is paid $180 wages when it's signed off. The rest goes to the company.
Certificate
Not required — the Radio survey course covers it.
How it's created
Raised automatically for customers around the city, and by customers on the phone.
How the server checks it was really done
Surveying signal strength: the engineer works on site within 50 m of the job for 40 seconds.
Training: Mobile coverage survey — the full step by step, tools, PPE and hazards for this job.
Training & safety
Each group of jobs has a course in OPS Academy: the lesson below, a health & safety module, an exam and a practical. You can read all of it here, or take it on OPS Hub → Classroom, in the OPS Academy app on the phone or laptop, or at opsacademy.sa in game.
Radio survey
Mobile coverage survey
Survey mobile signal where customers report problems, to plan new masts and small cells.
Overview
Phones need signal from OPS Mobile towers to call, text and use data. Dead spots happen behind buildings, underground and far from masts. A survey records the signal at the reported spot so planners can add a mast or small cell.

Tools & protective equipment
Configures routers, NVRs and servers, runs speed tests and opens OPS Hub.
Makes you visible to traffic and protects your head from falling objects and low beams.
Step by step
- Go to the reported spotSet GPS from the job.
- Start the surveyPress 'Start work' and walk the area while the timer runs.
- Note dead spotsCheck your phone's bars at different points.
- CompletePress Complete when the time is done.
Health & safety — hazards and controls
Traffic and pedestrians around open chambers, cabinets and poles.
Wear hi-vis and set out cones and barriers before you start. Never leave a chamber open and unattended.
Surveys are often done alone.
Tell dispatch where you are and keep your phone charged.
What goes wrong if it's done badly
The on-site timer pauses.
The survey still counts — note it as a dead spot for planners.
