Overview
What it does
OPS Web builds and hosts websites, issues SSL certificates and runs business email for every business in the city.
On OPS Hub
OPS Hub → Web & Domains.
On the phone
Customers manage their site at opsweb.sa in the Browser.
What players physically do
Everything below happens in the world, with your character, where other players can see it.
- Build a website with the site builder and publish it on a domain
- Install SSL so the site shows a padlock
- Create mailboxes and point a domain's mail at OPS Web
How the system works
How OPS Web's part of the world fits together — and what breaks when it doesn't.
The in-game internet: domains, websites, DNS, email & SSL
The Browser
A real web for the city, on phones (mobile data) and laptops (Ethernet). ops.sa is OPS Search.
Domains
Registered at opsdomains.sa (.ls .sa .biz .shop .club; .gov.sa for government). They renew from the owner's bank, expire, then are released after a grace period.
DNS
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records decide where a name goes. 198.18.10.80 is OPS Web hosting; a customer's static or cloud IP self-hosts.
Websites
Built from blocks at opsweb.sa — never raw HTML, so no player code runs on anyone's phone. Live when published and the DNS points at the server.
HTTPS & email
Certificates from OPS Trust CA (free DV with hosting). No valid certificate means 'Not secure' or a full-page warning. Mailboxes deliver into the phone's Mail app; unknown addresses bounce.
Every job
Every job OPS Web does. Open one to see who it's for, what the customer pays, what the engineer earns, the certificate needed, the parts used and exactly how the server checks the work was really done. A job is only paid when its check passes.

Training & safety
Each group of jobs has a course in OPS Academy: the lesson below, a health & safety module, an exam and a practical. You can read all of it here, or take it on OPS Hub → Classroom, in the OPS Academy app on the phone or laptop, or at opsacademy.sa in game.

Overview
OPS Web sites are built in the Browser at opsweb.sa → Control panel → the site. A site is live when it's published and its domain's DNS points at OPS Web (198.18.10.80) — or at the customer's own server. HTTPS needs a valid OPS Trust CA certificate; email needs a mailbox and an MX record pointing at mx.opsweb.sa. While you're on the job you can edit the customer's sites and domains.
The equipment — and what it does
Pages made of blocks (header, text, images, features, price list, gallery, contact form, hours, links, quote, call to action).
Browser → opsweb.sa → Control panel → the site → Pages.
Points the domain at the site and fixes the DNS for you.
Site → Address → choose domain → Connect.
Turns on the padlock (HTTPS).
Site → Get SSL, or opsdomains.sa → the domain → Security certificate.
info@domain etc., delivered into a phone's Mail app.
opsweb.sa → Control panel → Email → + Mailbox.
Tools & protective equipment
Configures routers, NVRs and servers, runs speed tests and opens OPS Hub.
Step by step
- Read the briefRead the job description and the customer's brief.
- Open their siteIn the Browser, go to opsweb.sa → Control panel. Your job's customer appears under the job reference.
- Build itAdd at least four content blocks, set colours and contact details, and fill every page.
- Connect & publishConnect the domain (it fixes the DNS) and switch the site Live.
- SSL / emailFor SSL jobs issue a certificate; for email jobs add a mailbox (the MX record is set for you).
- CheckPress Check on the job.
Health & safety — hazards and controls
Router settings, passwords and camera footage are private.
Only change what the job needs. Never share Wi-Fi passwords or footage, and log out of customer systems when you finish.
Using other people's images or making false claims gets the site taken down.
Use the customer's own material and accurate details.
Long sessions at a screen cause eye strain.
Take regular short breaks.
What goes wrong if it's done badly
The check fails: 'isn't published'.
Visitors see a parked page or an error, and the check fails until DNS points at the site.
The build check counts content blocks.
Validation fails — connect the domain first.
Mail bounces and the email check fails.
