04

Hands on

What players physically do in game

Nothing is a menu that just pays out. Players walk, climb, drive, carry, cable and fix things in the world — and other players see it happen.

Engineers

Climb poles, pull and splice cable, wire houses, fit cameras, build data halls and fix faults across the map.

Customers

Order broadband, CCTV, trackers, solar or a website from the phone and watch an engineer turn up and fit it.

Business owners

Run a company: hire staff, quote, win contracts, buy stock, manage vans and get paid.

Police & EMS

Get gunshot alerts, watch shared CCTV, read number plates and use job-locked Wi-Fi.

Criminals

Hunt for and cut out vehicle trackers — and get caught on CCTV, number-plate cameras and gunshot sensors.

Everyone

Use a real phone and laptop, browse the web, charge their phone, fill up with fuel and live with outages.

05

OPS Mobile

A mobile network built from real masts

Phone signal is worked out every 1.5 seconds from the towers and Wi-Fi you place. No signal means no texts or calls (except 911) and no apps unless you are on Wi-Fi.

▶ In game, players can

  • Place a mast or Wi-Fi access point by aiming where it goes
  • Set a Wi-Fi password and lock it to police or EMS
  • Watch your bars drop as you drive out of range
  • Admins: take a mast offline and leave a dead spot
  • Join Wi-Fi on the phone to save plan data

Cell towers

Lattice masts, 5G masts, rooftop antennas and small cells, each with its own range. 0–4 bars, 5G or LTE.

Wi-Fi

Access points with passwords, job-locked networks (police, EMS) and floor limits. Wi-Fi uses no plan data.

Only live when cabled

Optionally a Wi-Fi network stays silent until it is really cabled back to live fibre.

Power matters

Masts run off the grid. In a power cut their batteries last 2 hours, then they go off air.

Plans & billing

Monthly eSIM plans with texts, minutes and data, extras and boosts, sold on this website.

Coverage map

OPS Hub shows merged coverage, dead zones and players live. Drag towers to move them.

06

OPS Openline · fibre & copper

Every cable is pulled, laid and spliced by hand

Street cabinets are the exchange. Light travels over spliced fibre through joints, CBTs and CSPs into an ONT, and CAT6 from the ONT to the router is the home network.

13

OPS Fuel

Real fuel stations, from tanker to tank to car

Vehicles burn fuel and only fill up at stations built here. GTA's own pumps do nothing.

▶ In game, players can

  • Build a station: tanks, pipes, dispensers
  • Fill up by litres or by dollars
  • Drive a tanker, earth it and offload into the tanks
  • Hit the emergency stop
  • Dip the tanks and reconcile stock
  • Put the wrong fuel in and damage the engine

The station

Underground tanks, pipes, dispensers, canopy, vent stacks and a fill point.
